How much does a small business website cost per month?
Our rental plans run from $99 to $499 per month depending on the plan. Hosting, SSL, updates and support are included and there is no setup fee. The first 6 months are billed upfront, then billing is month-to-month.
Is it cheaper to rent or buy a website?
Renting costs less upfront; buying costs less over time. If you plan to keep your site longer than about 10 months, buying once (from $999, with 12 months of hosting included) is usually cheaper. Hosting is $299 per year after the first year.
Do I own my website if I rent it?
No. On a rental plan, Grippy Code owns the site's design and code and licenses it to you while your plan is active. Your content, brand assets and customer data stay yours. If you want to own the site outright, choose a one-time purchase.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Rental plans have no setup fee: you pay the first 6 months upfront, then monthly. One-time purchases are a single payment that includes the build and 12 months of hosting.
What happens after the first 6 months?
Your plan continues month-to-month at the same monthly price, and you can cancel anytime. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for.
How fast can my site go live?
Landing pages go live in 24 hours, Starter sites in 48 hours, Growth sites in 72 hours and Premium sites in 5 days, counted from when we receive your business details.
What is included in every plan?
Custom design, a mobile-first build, click-to-call and a lead form, plus hosting, SSL and backups. Rental plans also include updates and support, and Starter and above include monthly content edits.
What does the $299/year hosting cover?
It applies only to websites you buy once. After the 12 months of hosting included with your purchase, hosting renews at $299 per year to keep your site online. It does not include support or new work. We email you 35 and 7 days before each renewal, and you can cancel online anytime.
How do I cancel?
Rental plans can be cancelled anytime after the 6-month minimum by emailing info@grippycode.com; it takes effect at the end of your paid month. For a website you bought, you can cancel the hosting renewal online at crm.grippycode.com/hosting/cancel.
What is your refund policy?
One-time website purchases can be fully refunded within 14 days if we have not yet delivered your site. Hosting renewals can be refunded within 14 days of the charge. Rental prepayments are non-refundable once we start building. Full details are in our refund policy.
Do you offer a CRM?
Yes, as an optional add-on. The Grippy CRM is $75 per month with 1 seat included and $25 per month for each extra seat. Annual billing gets you 2 months free. See the CRM.
Can you build something more advanced?
Yes. Immersive WebGL websites start at $999 per month with 12 months billed upfront and a 12-month minimum. For e-commerce, multiple locations or custom integrations, contact us for a quote.
